BUSINESS WEBSITES
Business websites built for your next customer.
Make your offer clear, your pages fast, and the next step easy to find. We design and build websites around the people you want to reach.
A website that works as a sales asset, not a brochure
Most business websites underperform for the same handful of reasons. They load slowly on the connections real customers use, they bury the information a buyer needs in order to decide, and their structure was never planned around how people actually search. None of that is fixed by a content refresh — it is design and engineering work.
BLAC-M builds corporate sites, online stores and portfolio sites on clean, standards-based foundations: semantic markup, optimised assets, fully responsive layouts, and technical SEO built in from the first commit. The result is a site that stays fast and maintainable as it grows, rather than one that needs replacing in eighteen months.
What our business websites include
Three build types, each with a different job to do. Most projects start with one and extend into another as the business grows.
Brand, services, credibility and lead capture for companies whose website is their main sales channel.
Product catalogue, checkout and payments built around how you actually sell, on WooCommerce or Shopify.
Visual, case-study led sites for studios, practices and professionals who sell on the strength of their work.
HOW WE WORK
How a website project runs
1Discovery and content modelWe map your audience, what they need in order to decide, and the content you actually have — before any layout work begins. This is also where search intent shapes the site structure.
2Design and prototypeWireframes settle hierarchy and templates first, then brand-aligned visual design across every state and breakpoint, reviewed against real content rather than placeholder text.
3Build and optimiseStandards-based development against a performance budget, with semantic HTML, proper heading structure and structured data included as part of the build.
4Launch and measureQA across real devices, a planned go-live with redirects in place, then measurement against the baseline recorded before any work started.
What happens after a website launches
Launch is the start of the work, not the end of it. So it is worth knowing what follows.
First, we watch the analytics for a fortnight. Real traffic behaves differently from testing. Because of that, the first useful changes usually appear in week two rather than on day one.
Next, we hand over. You get a short written guide and a walkthrough. Above all, you get the ability to edit your own content without calling us.
Finally, you choose a support level. Some clients want everything covered. Others want security updates only. Either way, we scope it separately so you can see what you pay for.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a business website take to build?
It depends on scope. A focused corporate site moves faster than an e-commerce build with integrations and custom functionality. Every project runs through the same four stages, so we can give you a stage-by-stage timeline in the written scope before work starts.
Will the website be optimised for search engines?
Yes. Semantic HTML, a proper heading hierarchy, clean URLs, fast load times and structured data are part of the build rather than an add-on. That covers the technical foundations; ongoing content and link building are separate work.
Can you rebuild our existing site without losing our search rankings?
Yes, and it is the main risk we plan around in any rebuild. We record a baseline of current rankings and top pages, catalogue every existing URL, and map one-to-one redirects so link equity survives the move.
Do you provide support after the site launches?
Yes. Ongoing updates, monitoring, backups and troubleshooting fall under Technical Support, which is scoped separately from the build so you only pay for the level of cover you need.
Thinking about a new site or a rebuild?
Send us the current site and what is not working. We will tell you whether it needs rebuilding or just fixing.
