THE MARKETS WE SERVE
Your market. One connected technology team.
Registered in Dubai, working remotely with businesses across the GCC, Pakistan, and the United States. Find the local context, delivery approach, and practical considerations for your market.
The markets we serve.
Twenty markets across three regions. Each of the markets we serve gets its own page covering the sectors that actually drive it, what a project there usually involves, and where those projects tend to start.
Gulf Cooperation Council
Nine cities across six GCC states. We are registered in Dubai, so this is the region we work in rather than the region we cover.
Pakistan
Three cities, an hour behind Dubai. Manufacturing, education, IT export and the businesses selling into all three.
Pakistan — Public bodies and institutions, NGOs and development organisations.
United States
Eight states, remote and honest about the time zone. Our afternoon is the East Coast morning; the West Coast is the hardest overlap we work and we say so on the page.
How we work across all of them.
The same commitments apply everywhere. They are the parts that are easy to promise and harder to keep. Where standards apply we build to the published ones, such as the W3C accessibility guidelines, rather than to house preference.
Your hours, your week
The GCC runs Sunday to Thursday on Gulf Standard Time. Pakistan is an hour behind us. The US gets a fixed daily overlap slot and everything else written down.
You can see the work
Staged approvals, a written scope, and a link to look at while it is being built. You should never have to ask how it is going.
Everything in your name
Domain, hosting, code and content. Built on mainstream technology so another developer could take it on tomorrow if you wanted.
One team, not a bench
You deal with the people doing the work. Nobody is relaying messages between you and a developer you never meet.
Written down, not remembered
Documentation at handover, written for somebody who was not part of the project. That is what stops a rebuild in two years.
Told when to say no
If a template would serve you better, or a local supplier would, we will say so. We would rather lose the work than take on a project we are wrong for.
Questions about working across markets.
Do you have offices in all these markets?
No. BLAC-M is registered in Dubai and that is the only office. Everywhere else we work remotely: the same time zone and working week across the GCC, an hour apart for Pakistan, and a fixed overlap window for the United States. We would rather say that than imply a presence we do not have.
Does working remotely make the project harder?
It changes the process rather than the outcome. Written scopes, staged approvals and a build you can look at matter more when nobody shares an office. Those are good habits regardless, so we work that way in every market including our own.
How does the US time difference actually work?
Dubai is eight or nine hours ahead of the East Coast and eleven or twelve ahead of the West Coast. East Coast overlap is comfortable, our afternoon against your morning. The West Coast is genuinely hard and we handle it with a fixed daily slot plus asynchronous review. If a project needs live contact all day, we will tell you we are the wrong choice.
Is the price different depending on the market?
No. Scope drives the price, not the postcode. What differs by market is the sector mix, the constraints and the working pattern, which is what each market page sets out.
Which of these markets do you know best?
The UAE, because we are in it. After that the wider GCC, where the working week, the bilingual requirement and the procurement style are all familiar. Pakistan and the US are markets we work in remotely and regularly rather than markets we are from, and the pages say so.
Not sure which of these you are?
Describe the problem rather than the solution and we will tell you honestly whether it is something we should take on.
