AIDC and mobility solutions

Barcode scanning, RFID and rugged mobile devices for warehouse, field and retail teams — specified for the environment they work in and connected to the systems that need the data.

Specified for the floor, not the spec sheet

Automatic identification and data capture only pays off when the device survives the environment and the data reaches the right system instantly. A consumer handset in a cold store, or a scanner whose data batches overnight, creates more reconciliation work than it removes.

We specify against how and where the device is actually used — drop height, glove operation, temperature, scan distance, battery life across a full shift, and the network conditions in the parts of the building where coverage is worst. Then we make sure it talks to your stock or order system in real time.

What an AIDC deployment covers

Capture technology

Barcode, 2D or RFID selected against read range, volume and the condition labels are actually in.

Device selection

Rugged handhelds, wearables or vehicle-mount units chosen for the environment and the shift pattern.

System connection

Real-time integration with stock, warehouse or order systems so scans update the record immediately.

Rollout and support

Staged deployment, user familiarisation and ongoing support including spares and replacements.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do we need RFID or is barcode enough?

Barcode is cheaper and sufficient for most item-level scanning where each item is handled individually. RFID earns its cost when you need to read many items at once without line of sight, such as pallet or asset audits.

Can we use standard phones instead of rugged devices?

Sometimes, in clean indoor environments with light use. In warehouses, cold stores or field work the failure and replacement rate usually makes rugged devices cheaper over the deployment life, even at a higher unit price.

Will scans update our stock system immediately?

That is what we build for. Real-time integration is preferable wherever the network supports it; where coverage is genuinely unreliable, devices are configured to queue and sync safely rather than silently lose data.
